You will have plenty to do...as you wish, or just soak up the sun and surf! But there are also oysters to be gathered from the rocks at low tide. Walks to Pancake Creek (Estuarine Reef and Coral) or Jenny Linde Creek past the Light House to the Beach Caves. If you want to go fishing and live from the sea bring a fishing line or spear. (Bait too unless you are going to use oysters)
Wildlife on the island includes kangaroos, dingoes, goanna's (look out for Cedric he snuggles up to girls in the winter for warmth), then there are snakes, emus and scrub turkeys . It is safe to swim as we have no crocodiles or box jelly fish. We do have sharks however most of them have no teeth.
Snorkelling is great, especially in Pancake Creek, kayaking and surfing waves just off the Castaway beach or just bouncing around on a huge tractor tube. We supply life jackets as well for your safety.
A word to the wise...if you a smart backpacker...you will ask how many guys or girls are already booked for any particular day you wish to go....if you enjoy having a camping experience with the male/female ratio roughly balanced then ask!
We like the hormones to be roughly balanced on the island as"boys" can be very destructive when there are no girls to keep them"civilized".
There is no itinerary....we leave you to have fun as you wish.

Stay for one day or more as you wish.....the plane comes back everyday...you can place your order for more munchies or alcohol and stay on if we have seats available on the day you wish to depart.

Unfortunately departure times change every day as we cannot land on the island when the tide is too high.
Consequently we have to change our departure times every day by an hour or so to conform with mother nature and land when the tide is low enough.
