Byron Bay Dive Centre: Open Water Course
Included:The Open Water course takes four days to complete. The course includes equipment hire, tuition, swimming pool lessons, 4 scuba dives and a snorkelling lesson at Julian Rocks Marine Reserve and an experienced Dive Instructor to help you learn all the skills necessary to become a qualified Open Water Diver.
All confined water training is conducted at the dive shop, an instructor training facility, located in the heart of Byron Bay. Here we have a fully equipped classroom and a training pool heated to 25 degrees Celsius.
Once certified you will be able to dive independent of an instructor, at any dive shop anywhere in the world. Our Open Water course starts Monday + 1 weekend course per month (8am- 4pm).
A recreational diving medical is required by Australian law and must be completed prior to the first day of the course. The medical will be part of your first days of the course unless you have done it prior at one of the authorised diving doctors in Australia.
Plus you will receive a documented free photo collection of your course plus a free t-shirt.
What to Bring:Swim suit& towel.
Extra costs:Approx $60.00 to $80.00 for dive medical.
Dive and snorkel Byron Bay's Julian Rocks Marine Reserve.
Here the reserve is home to three different species of sea turtle, an assortment of rays including mantas, hard and soft corals, friendly wobbegong sharks and over four hundred different species of fish. All of this is only a five-minute boat ride from Byron Bay.
